The very first SPACERS drawing I ever did! I wasn’t making a lot of personal art at the time and I feeling a lot of imbalance creatively. As a relatively new working artist at the time, I hadn’t yet found the equilibrium between personal and professional art but I knew I needed to make art that rejuvenated me outside of work.
So this piece actually serves as a really important hinge point for me as an artist where I feel like I started really putting forward effort to seek out that balance.
But this piece also sparked alot of curiosity in me about this little space world. Who are these little cosmonauts, where are they going, who do they work for? Cool stuff. I owe a lot to this little illustration.
