My favorite illustration of Alexi I’ve done to date! After drawing two other versions of him that I wasn’t super happy with, it was extremely satisfying to FINALLY get this character right. I’ve been playing him for over a year and a half at this point and so I have such a greater understanding of the kind of person he is. I think that understanding helped the design a lot. Gosh, DnD is so cool.
I really liked the way I had stylized my witch in my other illustration Devils Speak and I tried to bring some of into Alexi’s anatomy. I love the fine line-work mixed with the textural, heavy blacks. This whole illustration just feels very Brae… which makes me freakin stoked out of my mind.
Feels good to finally do my vampire boy justice.
