This is technically unfinished still, but I feel like posting it may give me the juice to go back and finish it one of these days. I started it around my birthday and was trying to ride the momentum of my previous cowboy art.
I had this idea of a woman lying in a coffin at the turning point of becoming a vampire, her neck bite glowing with necromantic magic. At the time I was having a hard time balancing the color / values and didn’t know exactly how I wanted to render out the last 25% of the artwork. I ended up putting it to rest for awhile… no pun intended.
Since then, I've found some textural brushes I really like and I have a much better idea of how I could finish this out. Just gotta carve out the time one of these days.
